Please contact the Farmington Valley American Muslim Center (FVAMC), located at 35 Harris Road, Avon, CT, as soon as possible at (860) 502-9308 to begin the funeral arrangements process. During the call, an FVAMC representative will explain the required procedures and discuss available options for Ghusul/Kafan (washing and shrouding the deceased), Janazah (congregational funeral prayer), and Burial Services.

Following the initial discussion with FVAMC, the family will be asked to contact one of the designated funeral homes to initiate the next steps. The funeral home will complete the necessary documentation to transfer the deceased to its facility for Ghusul/Kafan, coordinate cemetery and burial arrangements, and provide transportation throughout the process.

FVAMC, the funeral home, and the family will work together to coordinate the scheduling of the Ghusul/Kafan, Janazah, and burial.

All fees associated with funeral home services and cemetery arrangements are paid directly to the funeral home and cemetery. FVAMC does not charge any fees for coordinating or providing its services. However, donations to support FVAMC’s mission and activities are appreciated and may be made by check payable to FVAMC or online here.
